Update to an Older Firmware Possible? 3250

I have a Nokia 3250 and I was using the 3.23 firmware. I just updated to the 04.14 firmware using the Nokia Software Updater, and the only advantage I see is the icons in some themes started to work. Other than that, I noticed that the quality of sound that spits out of the loudspeaker isnt as good as it used to be for both Ringtones, Music, and Loudspeaker for voice calls.... And my phone has become a bit slower....

So my question is: Is it possible to flash my phone back to the 3.23 firmware?

TIA

Actually, you can't. At least not in any way that I know of.

However, for the slowness, did you hard reset your phone after the format, or did you just pop your memory card back in the phone?

Here's my step-by-step suggestion for a firmware update, I've never had a problem with slowness after the update:

1. backup what you want (NOT with the built-in backup; synch with outlook, make sure you have the .sis files in a folder on your PC somewhere, any pictures/videos you want)
2. with the memory card in the phone, go to tools, memory, options, format
3. pull the memory card out of the phone
4. do the update
5. hard reset after the update (*#7370#)
6. put the memory card back in the phone, repeat step 2
7. either start installing from the pc, or...
8. connect the phone to the pc via cable and select "mass storage mode"
9. go to the root of the memory card and drag and drop all your .sis files there
10. disconnect the phone and use the phone's file browser to browse to the root of the memory card and just start going down the list, installing each app one by one.

Thanks for the replies guys...

And thanks for the Step-By-Step Rcadden, Ill try that later because at the moment, the slowness went away. I guess I was just over critizising the firmware. After my phone stood on for awhile and got back on track, all is well now.

However, there is still stuff poping up that I miss... Like for instance on a phone call when I voice dial with my bluetooth headset, after my conversation is over and I hit the button on the headset to end the call theres no "beep beep beep" to tell me that the call is over, theres just silence. This to me is very annoying because I'm not sure if the phone call is still going or if the phone has ended it....

Also, when my phone is locked and I use the voice dial from the headset, the keypad unlocks itself while on the call. So while my phone is in my holster, it is unlocked... Which to me is a bad thing because if I'm in the car and my holster pushes itself against the belt buckle it can press keys.... > NOT COOL
