I have literally been in bed all day. I hurt so bad, and its everywhere my wrists neck knees, ankles fett and of course my back. I am calling the doctor in a.m. this maybe more than the weather. My hanRAB and feet are swollen and I fell down in the dining room this am so I decided to stay in bed and maybe I'd feel better but I don't. I will let you know what I find out, Dee:(

Linda,
I hurt big time on the rainy days too. After reading this thread over again it seems like ALL the seasons are a pain literally. I do love the end of summer months most when it's cool at night and not humid. That seems to be the best time for my body.

Hope everyone is feeling better this morning.

God Bless

Carol

Hi Pepper,
So sorry your up too, whats with your new pain? You sure it's the weather?
I'm glad I have company this morning, not glad it's due to pain tho.

TM I visited Florida once in February and it was like 68 and you could tell who was visiting and who lived there cause all of us visitors were wearing shorts and tee shirts and natives were wearing jackets. I thought that was funny, but I know its a matter of perspective. My daughter in law is from Melbourne she hates it here. Right now I don't blame her. Sorry your family is sick I hope they get better soon. Oh, and my pm is starting me on something called Mobic its an anti inflammatory arthritis med. I cannot believe at 46 I have arthritis this bad!

I guess were supposed to get a warm snap this weekend. Up into the forties. That will probably feel tropical since our wind chill here has been running about-15. Pepper maybe we should check priceline and see if they have any deals on the bahamas. (lol) This is awful I havent been able to sleep much either. I just can't get comfortable. My neck and back hurt a lot more than usual but now my knees and ankles and hips have joined in on the fun. I swear soon as its retirement time for Doug we are gonna become snow birRAB during the winter months. Desert southwest: Here I come!!

Carol, I don't think anything is really new. I have seen zilch improvement in my pain since surgery. I tried again to walk and I think with the weather being so cold I think it attacked my back when I was outside. I still am unable to walk more than 150 ft without tears. I had really hoped that I would have seen some relief in the walking dept from 4 surgeries. I guess it will never be in my carRAB. Oh well, life goes on and I wake up everyday to my children - PRAISE GOD!

Same here it was hot yesterday and we actually had the air conditioner on and then it was 39 this morning. So a real slow start today for sure. The only reason i stayed up and didnt go back to bed is i have to get a spare tire for friday.Oh and library i love to read and i have all the time in the world to do that since i sit in this house.

Hope you start to feel better soon!

Dee, I am sorry about your fall!! It is so scary and you never know when it is going to hit you. My brother, a spinney too, the other day was telling me that he was in the grocery store and had one of those spells and he grabbed the shelf to catch himself. Well the entire shelf came down with all the cans going every which way. He said, it was like a comedy show moment.
All in the life of a spinney. :D

Hope you feel better sweetie!!

I feel your pain, dee...I am also experiencing more than usual pain this week, due to scattered ice showers hitting our area! My brother (who lives next door) even asked me a couple of days ago if I was hurting more than usual...he has Raynaud's, arthritis, and DDD (and he is only in his mid-30's). Our area is supposed to see more ice today! I am looking forward to spring...the smell, the right amount of heat and sun, and the spring showers (even though rainy weather also causes my pain to act up)! I do hope that we can all have a "pain-free" weekend (wouldn't that be nice).

Sorry everyone is hurting. I wanted to chime in that I can relate so much to all who have posted on this thread. I never got out of my PJ's today because the thought of taking a shower and getting dressed was just well to painful to even think about. :(

Dee hope that script works for you. There are several people on the pain mgmt board using it.

Good luck dee and everyone else but i have to say you can keep it!!! Na j/k.
I hope all goes well and you dont lose power.

I just talked to the nurse and she is going to speak to my doctor and call me back. I will keep you posted.

Thanks TM, I hate cold weather. I guess 39 is pretty cold in your neck of the wooRAB. We like it 39 here in the frozen north. (lol) Seriously this weather is awful I don't know a single person around here that isn't having some sort of health flare-up. I know I cant do anything about the cold and I should probably just shut up but this is terrible. Bring on the Global Warming!! and before an environmentalist gives me heck I am kidding !

Our weatherman has lost his mind again. (lol) We only got about 2.5 inches of snow so far. Yeah! the reason I am posting is because I went to accu weather and they have a weather and health section and it has a gauge for arthritis and how it is effected by the weather. It shows the index for arthritic pain today as extreme. That is pretty cool! Not that it is a bad day for arthritis but that we can see that the weather actually is effecting us. Take Care Everyone and stay warm! Dee;)
