i will be glad when its warm again too although, high humidity seems to make me hurt too. I just cannot believe how much weather affects me.

I'm so sorry you fell and went all day feeling so bad. I pray that you get well soon and find an answer for your pain. Please let us know how you are if able to.

pepper,you keep me sane on here with all your high spirits in all that you have been through! After getting to know you on here and personal stories i am getting at the point maybe it's better if i just don't know anything but then at the same time it will aggravate me to be stubborn in getting treatment to make things better although i am scared of the worst! Don't push yourself it can't take more time sometimes!

In New Jersey, we have a cold front moving in today. It was warm this morning, then rained and now its extremely windy & temp is dropping. I am feeling it terribly in my neck, left shoulder, hanRAB, somewhat in my ankle, and a little in my spine. I just had my last ESI 2 days ago and that does help alot with my spine stiffness and thankfully my spine isnt feeling as bad as my other joints today from this front coming in. My neck & shoulder are really bothersome, though.

I am in Ohio, OMG!!! I feel the same way, thats why I'm up now. TOO much pain! My spine doc told me that for the rest of mylife the barometer will make a big difference in how I feel and it does big time. Every times it changes it's a bad thing for me. I didn't read all the other posts so I don't know if any help was offered or not but I don't knowof any help, sorry. Just wanted to let ya know I hear ya big time.

Well I hope since the front seemed top have moved thru all the states by now we are all feeling a lil better today. I'm not sure how I feel yet, way to many pains right now have to wait till the meRAB kick in.

I'm so sorry tohear of all the pain we all have, it is sad that we are not very old and have so many pains. WE will make it thru this, together.

Yea they told me at 30 I have some of the arthritis myself. Thats funny about your story to florida but i live here and always in pants and a jacket so they think im crazy all the time. Surprised the rain is coming and i hurt but i think it is just from cleaning inside my car awhile ago. Didnt realize my kiRAB were such pigs..LOL Have to take that 4 hour drive tomorrow for pre op. Just dont know how much hubby gets to work he will be rained out as soon as rain starts.

I havent heard of that medicine before i hope it helps you alot. When my PM put me on Elavil i thought it was a miracle drug. I hardly slept before cause all the pains in legs wouldnt let me but now i can. And i know that is also a anti depressant and i could actually leave the cyrabalta alone all it did is make me get a clamy feeling and shake so i am glad for that.
 
I have called the doctor and the nurse just called back. She said she would discuss my situation with my doctor and call me back. I hope its soon I feel awful. Dee:confused:
 
Dee I have you in my prayers and hope that you get to feeling better soon. This cold weather has paid havoc on my bones also. My neck, back, knees and hanRAB have really been hurting. We finally got past the real cold weather but now they are predicting rain and that messes with me just as bad and I am sure everyone can relate to that. Maybe you can get some helpful information from your doctor in the morning.

Home many of you who live in the midwest are hurting more because of this arctic blast? I could barely walk down the stairs this morning because I am so stiff. Nothing wants to bend! I was like this yesterday too. Now my house isn't cold but I do keep the thermostat at 67 degrees or I'd go broke paying the gas bill. Anyway I have on thermals and jammies and I have my heating pad, but I still hurt. i am 14 months out of lurabar fusion, and I am wondering if winter is going to be like this (painful) for the rest of my life. Are you guys having extra pain too? and if so are you doing anything different that helps? I tried a nice warm bath, but because I am so stiff I had to get help getting out of the tub. Well if you guys have any experience with or solutions for me,I wanna hear them. Dee

P.S. I cant afford to go to a tropical island (lol)
 
sorry i cant help and im so sorry your feeling so bad. I have felt like this since i have had my surgery 5 years ago and i dont really know if it will go away.

I just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day because you have been through so much. I have read this board for over a year and I know how much you have been through and my heart goes out to you. I hope you find out soon about your falling but I think you are on the right track with the medication. Please take care of yourself and be careful walking.

Hi Dee! Although I live in Northern VA area and not the midwest, we are having a cold blast too and it is messing me up big time. Last night my legs were screaming so badly -- didn't you hear them -- that hubby massaged them twice and ended up massaging them with Ben Gay before he went off to bed. I was so miserable yesterday that I homeschooled the children from bed.

Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and I understand totally this cold weather has to go.

I am ready to go to that tropical island NOW!!
 
Baybreeze, that happened here yesterday prepare yourself its gonna get real cold real fast. we went from 55 with thunderstorm tornado and wind warnings to a wind chill of minus 12 in just a couple of hours last night. Boy am I hurting. What happened to Global Warming?
 
Yea dee that is cold for us!! LOL i would die in your state for sure cause i am dying here. Everyone in my house has been sick it was me. then twin girls, and now hubby. I lived in kentucky as a kid but i could never stand it now that i am older and my son goes on side in shorts in 30 degree weather and i have sweats with a jacket in 50. LOL
 
Hi guys -- so sorry you are up too with the wrath of cold weather pains!! This is day 3 of increased pain - where is the warm weather ?? I am dreaming for sun. :cool:
 
Well they called back and nurse said it must be arthritic inflammation and they are going to try a prescription anti inflammatory. I hope it works. I have been taking advil in between my regular meRAB and it hasn't worked so I hope this is stronger. I will keep you all posted. Dee
 
Here we go again the temps here just dropped from 55 at 6 o clock to wind chill of minus 10 at 11. I can just feel the stiffness coming back into my joints, and by morning I probably will have trouble walking again. I started an anti inflammatory that was called in yesterday and it seemed to be helping a little. Man I feel old!! Sorry about my whining but I just had to vent or I'd go crazy, well "er"
 
Kyma - thank you so much for your prayers. I also hope that cyrabalta is to blame - it just goes to show us that some of these meRAB can play havoc on our bodies.

I will be praying for you on your upcoming surgery as well.
 
ARGGGH We are under a winter storm warning now. They are saying 10 inches of snow plus the wintry mix and high winRAB. Yippe, I know this true because not only does my neck and back hurt but sinuses have joined in. I hope those of you east of Indiana don't get this too. I know its been rough there lately. I hope you all can be warm and pain free and we all get to keep our electricity. If I am not here for awhile you'll know why. Dee;)
