Hi Emily,

Thanks for the response and encouragement! My doctor gave me no sitting restrictions and, in fact, told me I would be able to go back to work in 1 week if I was up to it. I will take yours and MM's advice about not pushing it too much and listen to my body. When I went back to work, I was asked to participate in a meeting in NY on 4/2. I live in the Chicago suburbs. Has anyone heard of, or been given any restrictions regarding flying? My doctor's office is not open until Monday and I will ask, but I was just curious. I will keep everyone updated on my progress and for myself, I just keep thinking positive thoughts and hope to acheive positive results. I wish everyone a Happy Easter !!

WOW!!! I am so jealous and envious, however. The only way I could have gone back to work at one week or 17 days is if my job was an acting gig and my role was that of a patient recovering in bed after back surgery. :D That was durab. But seriously, I am almost 5 weeks post PLIF and laminectomy. I feel decent when I do nothing, but when I do things, I get quite sore in my lurabar region and if I really do too much, my big toes have that sharp pain.

I am curious about your age and pre surgery conditioning, if you are willing to give us the details. I know that if I was carrying less weight I might be doing better so i am working on it;)

We are here to listen and support each other. Please, heed the advice and take it easy if you have to. No sense in ruining tens of thousanRAB of dollars of surgery in an instant.

Peace and Prayers!
