In the Spring I usually have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. I live in a state where in Spring & Summer has long daylight hours, and Fall & Winter shorter hours daylight LONGER darker days. Have SAD-Seasonal Affect Disorder, and Bipolar Dispolar.
During my first year of college, at the end of Spring semester, with 2 weeks left and a lot of papers, projects, & exams. That meant lots of school work, with limited time socializing! I got so full of energy and worked day and night typing on my electric typewriter(that was in 1976 pre PCs and pre lap tops), finishing my projects, and study for exams. I was awake with no sleeping/or naps for two weeks. At the end of Spring semester, and all my work was handed in, & finally took last exam taken, I began to slow down and became sleepy. Move slower. Was ready to sleep. Wanted to sleep for a week. I did sleep for 10-12 hours the first day. Each day for about a month took naps.
