Unwanted data upload once a month

Hi all,

Since I got my Nexus One in the middle of January, I notice that once a month (on the 5-6th) my phone upload between 30-50 MB in a day. The rest of the month I have around 1 MB/day of upload. Since I have data plan with 250 MB included, 30-50 MB is quite a lot.

I strongly suspect the new auto-backup feature to upload my data to Google. How can I disable it? I didn't found anything in settings. How does this auto-backup feature work? Do you guys also notice some unwanted data upload once a month?

Well I have once a month on the 5-6th an abnormal high upload data transfer (30-50 MB). Because it happened on February 5-6th and yesterday (March 6th), I strongly suspect it will happened on April 6th too.

As I first suspect the auto-backup feature (Settings -> Privacy -> Back up my settings) to be the culprit, I disabled it and will see if this still happens next month.

I'm experiencing the same problem since I upgraded to android 2.1. But in my case, I'm getting the same amount of unwanted upload (~30Mb) in a single day, but twice a mounth (one usually in the beggining of the month and the other around two weeks after that).

I've NEVER activated the auto-backup setting... so I think that it should be something else...

Did you made any progress on that?

On the other days the upload traffic is about the same as you (~1Mb).
