Unusual Breast Growth

I am a 27-year-old woman, of normal height and body structure. However, my breasts have been growing about 1 cup size per month for the last year or so. I am now in a 36JJ bra, and my insurance is evaluating my request for breast augmentation (reduction) surgery. Could this be a problem of my breast tissue, or my pituitary gland? Are there any specific tests I can ask my physician to perform? If so, what tests? She has never experienced anything like my case before, and has made inquiries but this is extremely strange. Please help.

Have you had a mammogram to rule out cysts or tumors? No chance you're pregnant? Are you taking any medications? Some meds/herbal supplements have breast hypertrophy as a side effect. It's also called macromastia.

Get your gynecologist or an endocrinologist to test your prolactin levels to rule out pituitary adenoma. A TSH level (for starters) to test for hypothyroidism.

Good luck ~ and I thought my D cups were giving me headaches!

None of my physicians will allow me to have a mammogram because of the size of my breasts. I have had an ultrasound done, but nothing unusual showed up.
There is no chance I am pregnant as my Husband is deployed, and has been for quite awhile.
I am on the same bc (birth control) pills that I have been on for over 4 years, and just within the last year have "the twins" noticably increased on a regular basis while the rest of my body stays the same.
I wish I were a "D" again. The last time I remember being that small was as a Freshman in highschool. The surgery I am waiting for will bring me back down to a high B/low C (within the normal range).
I will contact my physician and request these tests. She is a small-town family doctor, and, like I said, my case is extremely strange to her 30+ years experience. Thank you.

I am a 45 yr old woman 5'3" and normal weight. Last year at this time my breast size was a 36B now I'm up to a 44 DDD and growing. They tested my hormones and thyroid and everything was normal. This isn't normal. I haven't had breasts this size in my whole life. I'm on different kinds of meds but none of these show this as a side effect. It's driving me crazy, I don't like it but can't seem to find. HELP
