Life sucks sometimes... Seems I can't get my degree without some totally freaking crappy ass whipped classes that I just can't see myself paying attention enough or they're too freaking hard......

Life sucks, life sucks, life sucks.............ARggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

My last post got be wondering: What's the single most difficult class that anyone has taken for undergrad / grad / whatever: even a training: (sexual harrassment ... anyone? ;) Anyways.....

Mine right now as this very moment that I cannot pass: Is Qualitative Methods or Statistics 2 for those not in the know.... This class is kicking the living crap out of me... and I don't know if I can pass it... Any suggestions? This is from a guy thats taken Calculus, Algebra 2, Trig, Analytical geometry... I mean.. .I know math... but there's something about this class...

Damn, I hate this.........

You hate Statistics, and the stats all show that the overwhelming majority of this board wished your read the rules before you posted.

College isn't for everyone. Practice this phrase "Hi, welcome to McDonalds may I take your order?" It sounds like you're going to need it.

'back in the day' when I took calculas II, it was kicking my ass so bad I went a got a tutor. The university provided free tutoring, so all it cost me was time. I spent 2 hours a day with my tutor, 5 days a weeks. I worked my effin ass off and in the end I got a C+. I have never been more proud of a C in my entire life.
The moral of the story is get a tutor. :D

I have problems with math...big problems! It almost prevented me from getting my undergrad degree. Like others have said...get tutoring (does your college have a math lab?), practice working problems and keep trying! Gen-ed requirements can be so stupid! I know people who ended up dropping out due to the math and language requirements. Some people just suck in these areas. I did fine with the language but ended up taking the math 3 times before it passed it.

Don't let one class stop you from getting your degree!

Discrete Math is worse that stat, trust me. Math isn't hard, and if you can get calc I don't really see how you'd have an issue with stat. Just study a lot.

Worst college course I have taken: finite mathematics.

I thought Stats was badass compared to any other math I had ever taken; period.

Fuck you and your inability to comprehend the simplest math course since Fingers & Toes 1020. I sense a dropout.

life does suck. but only if u let it suck. ur the only one responsible for wot ur life is like if u dnt want it to suck go do summat tht'll make it rawk. its wot ur here for :D the agen........my lyf kinda sucks aswell even tho im gna try n make it rock.......nvm :D x yeh it confuffled me too.

Worst college course I ever took: Calculus III

That entire course went so far over my head, I once studied 15 hours for an exam, felt completly prepared, took it easily, left the test with confidence, and got a 45 on it.

If this school offered a grade below E (which is even below F. I don't know how, but it is. F = 0.0 GPA. E = -0.0 GPA. LOL I dont know).

So, I know how you feel about math, and about stupid courses that people like us will never understand. Why are you taking Statistiscs/Qualitative Analysis? They sound like upperlevel classes. Are you a math major?

If your answer to this question is yes, I'd like to know how many drugs you do. I don't know anybody who could graduate with a bachelors in mathematics without taking some sort of drug. Unless they were masochists.

Yeah but why the fuck do I need to learn about Alaska and it's history when I'm leaving for college in three years? Of what fucking use is it that I know when Alaska was inhabited, or who the governors were, or when Alaska was declared a state? It's not like I'm going to be in Jeapordy while this is a topic.
