Unlocking T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8320

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 that was given to me,
Well a friend asked me to get it unlocked so they could use it.
Thing is I've never unlocked a Blackberry before. So if you know how to get a T-Mobile Blackbbery Curve 8320 unlocked, please help!

T-Mo will usually give you the unlock code if you ask as long as you've been with them at least 6 months. I called and asked for the code for my 8900. Got it within about 48 hours. Otherwise, you're going to have to pay for it through one of the 1000+ companies that provide them.

Well how do I unlock the Blackberry Curve 8320 even If I have the unlock code?

I need the instructions on how to get it unlocked!

Options>Advanced Options>SIM Card

Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE (not case sensitive - you will not see text appear on screen while typing)

It will say "Enter Network MEP Code", then you type in the unlock code and press in the trackball to confirm.

Your phone is now unlocked.

Well, thing is. Got the phone off Amazon, didn't come with SIM Card.
And I called today to T-Mobile about 3 times, then called Blackberry Tech Support Corporate. then I got back t T-Mobile.

T-Mobile says there has to be a account registered with the Blackberry to get it unlocked.

Okay, to the OP, which is it, you got the phone from amazon or it was given to you? You've posted both here so it starts to sound a little fishy.

As for T-mobile (or any provider) you will need to have an account in good standing with them for at least 90 days and they will unlock the phone for free. If you don't, then you will need to pay someone about $10 for the code. Then it will work on any GSM carrier. No you don't actually need a SIM card in the slot to unlock the phone.

What is "OP"

I am doing this Unlock for a friend.

He got the phone from his sister in Caracas Venezuela. She bought the phone off Amazon.
He gave the phone to me to get it unlocked.
So I called T-mobile yesterday, asking for the Unlock code.
Well she said "May I have the Phone number or Account name" And I told her that we got the phone of Amazon.
And also I told her that there was no sim card in the phone.

Then she told me the only way to get the phone unlocked is to have an account with T-Mobile.

OP... not totally sure, but I always interpreted it as Original Poster.

T-Mobile doesn't unlock just any device, let alone doing it for you for a device that is not registered or being used on their systems. You will have to pay to get it done and also have it done by someone/place other than T-Mobile.

Someone we found who can maybe get the unlock codes , work for AT&T.
So were hoping he can get the unlock codes.

By the way, are the carriers below the only cell phone networks who se sim cards ?
AT&TT-Mobile

AT&T and T-Mobile are the two major provider's in the US... there might be a couple smaller provider's, but I don't know of any right now... Sprint and Verizon are CDMA network providers and don't have SIM cards.

Wow, if getting it unlocked is so important then go to cellunlock or one of those and pay the $10.

Still think your story is a bit fishy.

T-mo and att have bought most of the other local GSM carriers (suncom, Dobson, Cell One).
