I am currently on AT&T and looking into getting a Palm Pixi. However seeing as they are only avalible for Verizon and Sprint I can't get one. And when it does come out for AT&T I can not afford it. So I am looking to buy a used or new one and have it unlocked.
Will this hurt the phone?
What happens if I screw it up?

It will stop me from having to pay an extra $30 for data correct?
I have had a Palm before when I was with Sprint, it held up for two and a half years. Beat to hell, but still manages to function with a charged battery.
