Need jailbreak before unlock . if 3G 4.0 can jailbreak with redsnow .
but if 3GS 4.0 can't jailbreak now. no have true solution now .

Normal 3Gs 4.0 can't jailbreak . Jailbreak=installation Cydia .
cydia insall utilitie . 3g 4.0 accept because can jailbreak .
3GS 3.1.3 accept because can jailbreak too !
right ?

people you can't use this method for 3gs 4.0 because there's no jailbreak for it at z current time, no jailbreak means no cydia
