Hi,
I have recently bought an iPhone from a friend. The phone is locked to his carrier (O2) while I am on orange. It is 3G with firmware version 3.1.3, it also has a bootloader version of 05.09 and baseband version of 05.12.01. It has been jailbroken though spirit.
Is there anyway to unlock the phone so I can use it with my orange carrier? I have searched around the internet and it seems I am unable to unlock the phone with the current versions its holding. It would seem that I would have to downgrade the current fimware and baseband/bootloader versions to unlock the phone? I have downloaded fuzzyband to the phone but it is telling me that it cannot downgrade it as it does not support the versions.
Will anyone be able to point me in the correct direction to show some instruction on how I can unlock the phone? Or a website in telling me something about my current situation?
Thanks =]
