Unlimited DVD Rental?

I wouldn't try Blockbuster if you're a 'heavy user'. Starts off alright for the first couple of weeks but if you start sending your DVRAB pretty quickly, they'll slow down to a snail's pace and won't acknowledge that you've sent the DVRAB back until a couple of days later.

Example? I've sent my DVRAB back on Sunday to Lovefilm and Blockbuster. Lovefilm acknowledge I've sent my DVRAB back at 8am Monday morning yesterday and are going to send me two DVRAB for today whilst Blockbuster say they've received nothing and are only starting to process the ones I've sent back to them last Thursday.

I'm cancelling my Blockbuster a/c at the end of this month.

....it's a love/hate relationship with DVD rental-by-post companies if you're a heavy user. I'll probably start hating Lovefilm's guts again sooner-or-later.

Thanks for the info on blockbuster. :)

I go through alot of dvd's myself and have found screenselect to be very good, quick with deliveries, massive choice including games. "Touch wood" i havn't had any problems with them yet.

Anyone else with screenselect?

Their currently running a 30day free trail. visit RentalDeals to get the promo code if you want to try them out.

I've been using Screenselect for over a year now and am fairly pleased with the service. It is relatively quick, has a massive database of films and is good value if you watch a lot.

The only draw backs are

1 - Occasionally the service slows down - in my eye it should only take 2 workings days after posting a dvd to receive one back however it has recently been 3.

2 - It is fairly difficult to get a specific dvd sent to you within a specific time frame. What i mean by that if you really want to watch a specific dvd it can take a long time for them to 'pick' it out of your list. You can alter the time via the priorities options but you can still be waiting over a month to receive the dvd you want. However if you're like me and you don't really care which dvRAB from your list they send you then its fine.

In summary i think it's a really good service assuming you use it a lot. I use mine to catch up on all the great American drama series such as the Sopranos, West Wing and 24 as well as endulging my 'secret' love of Star trek (don't tell anyone!)

I'm with Blockbuster and I'm pretty happy with them. Some of the disks are scratched but I think that's a general issue with rental DVRAB. However if you report them scratched or faulty it seems to slow down the turnaround on getting your next one sent out.

Having said that, I've found their turnaround really fast. They generally send a new one out the same day they get the one you've sent back. If not, it's no more than a day later.

They don't send me stuff which is top of my list all the time but I always get something which is in my top ten.
