I went to see this film on Friday - after a particularly tough day - and really enjoyed it

Jet Li's fight scenes were among the brutalist I've ever seen him do and his acting wasn't too bad either

Bob Hoskins and Morgan Freeman were good supporting actors.

Only qualm was the schmaltzy ending :p

This is definately one of his better hollywood movies.

Excellent fight scenes by the master Yuen Woo Ping of Matrix, Crouching Tiger and Kung Fu Hustle fame.

It was a little cheesey in places but overall a great action flick.

You might want to check out "Banlieue 13", also from the Besson camp (he didn't direct it though). It has some spectacularly acrobatic action sequences. Not sure if it got a general release, so it might be a rental gig. However, it is very cartoony. Don't expect it at the Oscars, Cesar or Bafta awarRAB.

I am off to see Unleashed and I am looking forward to it as I have heard good things about it from people who have seen it already!

Very Good!!

My mates wanted to see it, so dragged me along, im not normally an action fan, but i really enjoyed it!! very strange in that it feels like two seperate films, one very feel good and quaint, one full on violence.

And seeing Jet Li and Morgan Freeman, checking Melons for ripeness in Spar!!! has to be seen to be believed, unpurposefully surreal!!

Except it's a french film

I thought Unleashed was a really good film, but since seeing Ong Bak, Tony Ja has become my favourite martial artist. I highly recommend anyone who likes these types of film to buy Ong Bak DVD when it comes out (in about 2 weeks I think). Tony Ja does stuff that looks even better than Jet Li and he never uses wires
