University of Phoenix - Rip off?

I have been doing some research on UoP as of lately. I am starting to doubt the credibility of the college in the "real world" Does anyone know if a UoP degree means anything when looking for a job? Also, if I want to transfer to the Cal State program, would I be able to? Has anyone transfered from UoP to any other bricks and mortar type school?
 
It's extremely overpriced. I don't know why people go to UoP when there are better online options from B&M state schools. However, UoP is regionally accredited, so your courses should transfer.
