I recently transferred from a 2 year college to a 4 year, I have an associates degree & my GPA is a 3.5. I was recently informed by financial aid that I am not eligible for financial aid for my Fall semester because I had to drop a class due to some unforeseen circumstances with my son and my professors inability to sympathize with my situation. My son is five and is suffering from severe behavioral problems in social situations and he was recently kicked out of his preschool. Would this be reason enough to appeal the financial aid decision?

I had to complete 9 credits, and I only completed 6. I did not drop out of the entire semester.
