convert each pair to the same units. then you compare. Theres a list of these conversions in the back of your science book

i believe you would have to figure out how many micrometers are in a millimeter and then divide....they might have something online if you search

just convert everything to meters

For example:
1micrometer = 10^-6m
1mm = 10^-3m

Then set up your conversion Table. I'll do the first to give you a guide. You want units on the top to cancel the unit on the bottom.

to convert to m: 10 micrometer (10^-6m/ 1micrometer) = 1.0 x10^-5 m

Just follow the same process for the rest.

The question says: The following pairs of numbers represent measurements of the lenghts of specimens. For each pair, cirlce which specimen is longer and by how much?

10 micrometers 0.01mm
200 micrometers 0.25mm
3.20 micrometers 0.004mm

How would I calculate this? Is there a formula I could use.
