United 93 (Trailers)

I think they changed it to 'United' for some reason. I can't remember what it was, cause it's still the same film about the same topic.

Two different films. Flight 93 was an HBO (or Showtime or some cable station) produced film. "United 93" was intended to be shown in theatres and as some mentioned was named for the United flight 93 from Newark to San Francisco flight.

Dont think I'll be seeing it. maybe one day.

Conspiracy theorists won't give it a chance because of 'inaccuracies', there's bound to be people who will say it's a shameless exploitation of a tradgedy.

I say it looks like a heartbreaking, emotionally upsetting tribute to those who fought to take control of the plane, attempting to save the lives of people both onboard and on the ground. I think that the whole idea is to respect the human spirit and courage in the face of terrorism, and to remember that day and those who lost their lives.

It's had a very good response from critics and the general audiences.

It's a very, very odd movie that leaves you with a strangely empty feeling. It's not a good movie by any stretch of imagination, in fact, many aspects of it has a very distinct TV quality to it, and had it not been based on real event, I suspect it would have been panned by the critics. It's main quality is that it's about as inoffensive as this kind of movie can be this soon after the actual event, but I really only think it will be most satisfying to the kind of people who still get something out of wallowing in the misery of 9-11. And I don't mean that to be as offensive as it sounded.

How is that inaccurate? that's what some of the passengers did do. Some of them did use the inflight phones.

Anyway, I watched the Flight 93 TV movie and that's quite hard going. I can't imagine that this version will be much different.

One of the qualities of the movies is that it follows the official account of the events in minute detail, and many of the passengers did you their mobiles to call loved ones. As for inaccuracies, it depenRAB on how much of the official story you believe, of course.

I too have seen Flight 93 (produced by A & E) - quite emotional in places, and was mistakenly under the impression that this was the same film as United 93 - not sure if I can manage another film on these tragic events

LOL! I just realized I watched the A&E one too :) I guess my "TV quality" comment couldn't have been more accurate, then, but disregard my other ramblings on the subject. I agree with you, I don't feel like watching another one of these, though.
