I have had 2 madagascan rainbow fish in my tank for about 6months - 1 year,
Yesterday, one of the fish suddenly bent, and turned upside down, and went to the bottom of the tank. 30 minutes later it was dead.
Today, the other fish has done exactly the same.
I have also noticed that my blue rainbow fish has pop eye, and another fish seems to have a white fin.
I recently went on holiday, and left them with a novice (who said he knew how to look after fish) I have a feeling that the fish were overfed, but having tested the water, cannot see that the ammonia or nitrite are abnormal.
What disease do you think the madagascan rainbow fish had, and are the other fish likely to go the same way.
Also what would you suggest I treat the tank with, to try and cure them all. I am currently using melafix, and have turned the temperature above 30 degrees, as think there may also be signs of white spot!!
HELP!
