Unexplained tiredness.

Oi! Oi!

Hi there, I'm Tanzie, new to these forums and I thought this would be the best place to put this, and I do apologise if it should be somewhere else. I put it here, because although there is a sleep disorders board, the little research I've done has shown me that tiredness like this a symptom of many things, (anemia, depression, thyroids, stress etc etc...)

Basically, over the past week, I have been extremely tired. I don't work particularly long hours, (Usually eight or nine until six) and often have a day or two off in the week. I stayed out late on tuesday night, but I usually get over it with a bit of rest and something to eat.

However, this is different. I had a decent nights sleep last night, and a good lie in this morning, yet at about half past two, I led on my bed intending to have a read, and instead, fell asleep until just gone five. When I woke up from that, and similarly when I wake up in the mornings, I never feel refreshed in the slightest. At work, I'm constantly dragging my feet along, and just constantly want to sit down because my legs just ache so much. I often go to the bathroom just to sit down and close my eyes for a bit.

I don't know if this'll help, but just as added info, I am usually on depo provera, (contraceptive injection), but I'm about two weeks late in having my next injection because I just haven't had time to book an appointment around work. There's no chance I could be pregnant, as I refuse to have sex without my injection. The last time I had sex was about three days before my injection was due.

I know tiredness can be a lot of things, and I've looked up a lot on the internet, but I was wondering if anyone else here could help at all? I do want to make a doctors appointment, but I wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences or if this rings a bell for anyone.

Thanks for your help.

Wait it out a bit. See if you're still tired after the injection. If you aren't, then there's good reason to believe the dp is the cause.

I know your symptoms may be temporary, but regular, moderately intense exercise gives you energy throughout the day and you sleep a little better too.
