This film is alright but it could have been much better
for some reason the british accents didn;t work for me in this film, the action scenes consist's of a lot of people firing a lot of guns, where was the vampire fighting warewolfes hand to hand that would have been good, the story is a loose romeo juliet tale and Kate Beckinsale was no Carrie-Anne Moss (maybe her younger sister), there plot holes in the story which hopefully will be filled in by the sequels to come.
This is a cross between dark city, blade, dog soilders, matrix ...but it was not what i expected. 4/10 :(
 
I think the Vampires would had been butchered if they went up against the Werewolves in hand-to-hand. I think that the Werewolves were killed far too easily IMO, they're supposed to hard-as-nails with super regenative (if that's a word?) abilities.
 
Underworld was one of the worst films of 2003, it was boring and the film was about 20 mins too long i would have left the cinema early if i was not with frienRAB
 
I enjoyed it, I was oblivious to it's existence and only rented it coz there was nothing worth getting in Blockbusters. I always seem to enjoy movies more without hearing any of the hype that usually surrounRAB them. It wasn't a classic but as a action/horror pic I thought it worked well. I've always been a bit of a sucker for vampyre films. Sucker - vampyres, get it? DOH!
 
Underworld is set to be a trilogy

Underworld 2 planned to be released late 2005 and the third part will be in 2006 but this is yet to be confirmed.
