Underworld: Rise of the Lycans: Every war has a begining.

I loved the gore in this movie

Oh Lucian :thud:

I didn't mind the second one, but it seemed to lose the feel that the first one generated.

I'm not sure what to think of the third, sounds interesting so far. I'll probably end up seeing it in the theater, but it depends on what it is matched up against.

I agree - though I do wish we could've seen certain things in this one that we'd been "promised" with the first Underworld. Like The Great Blaze and such. It's amazing how much more facinated I am by the backstories

Yeah, I know what you're saying there. It would have been nice, but the movie can only be so long, though I could have sat through another 30 minutes or so

I didn't think the second one was so bad, but then again I loved Marcus and Tannis characters introduced in the second one. Because I've loved those actors from earlier projects. The sex scene between Selene and Michael was pretty silly though.

Anyway I saw Underworld 3 on opening night and loved it. Even though I got there just as it started and had to sit in the front row. Sadly the theater had let in some younger kids that weren't old enough to see it and they were childish the entire movie. And I wish the movie had been longer as well.

But like I said I loved it and would like to see it again farther back in the theater. What I enjoyed was you truly believe that Lucian and Sonja loved each other dearly. That was important to me since it was their great love that started this blood war. Lucian fighting as man and beast was great, though the fake blood got a bit distracting.

Michael Sheen was at the SAG awards and the person interviewing him as he walk the red carpet congratulated him on Frost/Nixon and Underworld. And they asked him what was next, and he joked saying he was going to combine the two and have a werewolf interviewer. He joked saying it would be called Frost Bites.

 I went the "new" route - did my IMDb research  And I have to admit the Lucian/Sonja love scene has to be one of the most epic I've seen [sp]though I do wish we could've seen more build-up for their relationship as opposed to their first scene together they're already "involved" but hey, I'll take what I can get with this crew[/sp]

Agreed! And it's Underworld, the gore's a given. But yeah seeing Lucian take on "his own kind" like that - and to know that wolves respect their elders and given that he was eldest of that race was fantastic

I couldn't sit through Evolution for a second time. I rented it to give it another chance (I saw it in theaters and was left cold) but returned it without seeing the second half.

^ That's interesting, I'd like to see it :D

Anyway, IMO if UW would be a tv series, it would not be good. No gore, & most of it would be cut off :(

Yeah basic network tv would destroy it by toning it down, no it probably would have to be cable.

Ok I know technically this isn't Underworld related in a way. But I was watching an older movie of Steven Mackintosh who plays Tanis. It's called Different for Girls, where he plays a transsexual who falls mutually in love with his best friend from school after years apart. Rupert Graves plays the other half of the ensemble. It's a beautiful charming funny film that is worth watching.

Yeah, I didn't know he was going to be in the movie, but then I went to see it and he came on screen I was like "OMG it's him, I know him!" My friend laughed at me
