Undecided between Volvo XC90 or Acura MDX?

I currently own a 2001 Jetta. I purchased it brand new and has been nothing but issues (electrical, oxygen sensors, etc etc). I am looking to get a used Volvo or Acura but the bad experience with my current car has left me a bit skittish with the whole auto issue. I am trying to do my due diligence before getting another lemon. I like these two cars equally (perhaps the Volvo a tad more) but i am trying to see if they are troublesome mechanically. I drive less than 10K mi per year. Any input will be greatly appreciated.
 
well I personally like the ride and feel of the mdx better and it will be much better in terms of reliability and repairs.
volvos typically have electrical issues and are more high maintenance than an acura. but I also must say that volvos are nice cars and also drive quite nicely.

if it were me Id go acura
but Ive always had good luck with them
everyones experience may differ
