undecided about my phone for T-mobile?

i currently ownend a Blackberry Bold2 9700 wih T-mobile i like it is cool i like the Blacberry messenger and everything, i had been having some problems with it and its really stressing me out. i've always wanted the iPhone for me but i could never afford it. I was thinking about selling this one and buy an Unlocked white iPhone 3G for T-mobile.

Shoul i keep the Blackberry Bold2 9700
or sell it and buy a white iPhone 3G?

i only care about texting pretty much. im 17
