Uncomfortable on new ultra

It's a bit ridiculous that so many has to try several different sets of handlebars before finding something that fits their needs. I know guys that have gone through 3 or 4 sets.

I'm sure the dealers are crying all the way to the bank because we don't like their stock handlebars.

It’s a conspiracy I tell ya, a conspiracy. If I had the money spent on handlebars and seat only, I would probably be a multi-millionaire.

Here's a chart that may help you deciding on the right handlebars for your scoot.

I'm also 5' 11" and own a 2010 Ultra Classic with the Harley adjustable backrest. I recently installed the 2" Harley Pullback bars, as I was experiencing the same shoulder pain. Problem solved.

i think they were trying to get at the the dealer may not have mounted or tightened the bars in the highest position and was suggesting a way to check it out. I think many of the others are suggesting that new bars coming back towards you so you have a shorter reach or eliminate the reach all together might assist in solving your problem.

Its a reoccuring theme for Ultra owners. The bars harley chose to use are ridiculously low and the pull back is almost non existant. I am 6 foot tall and I like to sit straight up but with these bars I even have to lean forward when holding on.

I have not changed out the bars yet but have also been told by the dealer as Bobros mentioned, that the brake cables also need to be changed. AND they don't make longer black cables so you would have to get braided cables, how convienent. anyways they are quoting between 1000 to 1200.00 for the entire job including the bars. Its BS if you ask me. You wonder who the genius was that decided on those stock bars for the Ultra's?
