Ulver always manages to make subtle, or even drastic, changes from album to album that makes them unique. I learned about Ulver through Garm's vox work in Arcturus, what really made me interested in Ulver was when he left, and Vortex (disappointingly) took over.

some Ulver annoys me, i don't know, it just doesn't quite work, but i do definitely appreciate and love how varied they are..

but..
when it comes down to it.
it's ALL about 'bergtatt'! a masterpiece. and i don't know how anyone can deny that.
