Ultramarines (CG Movie; Warning: Violence)

Not too familiar with the Warhammer Universe, although I do know the basics - but I am familiar with Bob Thompson. I've wondered for a while what happened to him after he left Lego, and it looks like I've just found out.

As for the trailer, the animation looks very good, although the faces seem a little stiff. I think the narrator was my favorite part - whoever they got really did a good job, and I wish that the rest of the voice acting we heard in the trailer was equally as good. That Ultramarine that was talking midway through just seemed far too quiet, and the few words at the end were so faint that I could barely understand them.

Still, this is looking pretty decent. The only thing that truly concerns me is the marketing - Warhammer is more of a niche hobby than an A-list franchise, and the fact that this is an animated movie aimed at adults doesn't bode well for a possible theater release. Direct to DVD is probably the best way to go, but even then I'm not sure how well it will do outside of Warhammer fan circles.

I've heard about this, with a great line of voice talent, and the CGI is great. OK, it may not be as impressive as other CGI works, but its satisfying. This has me psyched!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! BLOOOOOOOOOD, GOOOORE! :mad::D:cool::eek:
Yeah, well I guess I'll give it a try.

I dont play the tabel games, but the DoW game(first one) was awesome.
ORKs, ORKs, ORKs!

Though... the... faces looked plastic and I never liked that lego movie JUST for the bad CGI(the bad, bad CGI).

Man, I'm getting worried.

"Character animation? BAH! Who needs it? We'll just motion-capture the humans and blow the rest of the budget on blood, gore, and explosions."
