Ultimate Guitarist Poll

clapton out of cream = not so great.
Actually i can not stand him out of cream.
Well im not much into blues, actually i dislike the blues, i like jazz
and reggae, and dub.
Though I cant come up with an actual guitarist that really stood out to me.
Infact, im not altogether that fond of the guitars sound , even though i love rock and metal... it could be.. more. more different like, asian strings.

Well duh.

Many. New methoRAB are being used all the time.

Taking inspiration or even stealing licks is one thing, completely ripping off a guitar style is another. Yngwie Malmsteen is a good example, I don't think anyone has as many clones as he does.

That is true.

You, my friend, (oh wait...that's right...you don't have any, nevermind), are a mental retard.

Kurt Cobain as one of the best guitarists ever? You need to get shot for even thinking that.

And you don't even know who Dimebag is....Jesus....go listen to music, not stupid ****ty suicidal banRAB who can't even sing or play music.

****head!

Michael Angelo also knows how to make slower stuff sound good.
Listen to any of his albums straight through, you'll know what I mean.
Therefore I pick him.
Page and Hendrix are way overrated.
Vai, Satriani, Batio, Malmsteen, and Petrucci are very talented too.
There's not a single best.

My two personal favorites are...

David Gilmour
Brian Carroll

Brian is probably better than David, but David has been a long time favorite. I have several of Brians albums (aka Buckethead) and I really like what this guy can do.

I know they may not be at the top of the list... but they are still my 2 fav's.

Yes, BEST... Thats the key word, theres quite a distinguished difference between "best" and "greatest".

And I do agree that the best are the most obscure, and I personally think theres better than Batio.

To me, some of the best players aside from Jazz guitarists are in prog... Steve Howe, Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett, Andy Latimer, Adrian Belew, Steve Hillage, Mick Box, etc.
