george harrison was pretty damn good. i'm not fond of shredders. if music was really about talent, then malmsteen would be a god. but its not about talent. its about wit. a 2 minute solo at 2000 notes per minute is never going to blow my mind, but 4 well crafted notes just might, if you're smart enough to figure it out.

I thought dimebag was the ownly one to get killed, and the security guard and the fan just got shot but survived you could be right though. Anyway, steve vai, jeff beck, page, um god i hate these kinRAB of threaRAB, my list would go on forever.
 
I voted for Zappa, on the basis that he had amazing compositional skills and was a largely underrated guitarist. In retrospect, Becker could've easily also recieved my vote because of his compositional skills being focused almost entirely into solo guitar pieces, whereas Zappa's skills involved other instruments as well.
 
It's impossible for there to be a best guitarist, because it is too vague. There are different genres, different ways of playing, and the person's opinion. But from that list, I'd pick my favorite guitarist which is Slash.
 
Image dosen't show but I know you're talking about the cover of Meet the Residents. EMI and Capital threatened to sue, but they didn't because they re-released it with an alternate cover.
 
Yeah, I agree with Becker. I didn't see him on the list first time. Its so sad that he can no longer play. Cacophony were really good.

Anyone who can create music that sounRAB as good as Nirvana must be good, regardless of how hard it is to play.
