Ultimate Guide To Folding@home

If you have a look further down the log you will probably see that it has actually been sent. Either that or it is still sitting there waiting to be sent. You don't lose completed WU's unless you delete the Queue file (or actually tell F@H to delete it from the queue).

I should be third when the server comes back online.

Clocker, please keep to the right lane (damn Americans and their back-to-fornt roads :P ). I'll be zooming past you soon

Just started a tinker, this CAN'T BE SERIOUS!

Damn ,

My folding stopped for some reason.
None of my work get's completed anymore. at least 2 days of work down the drain.
Deleted my work folder many times now and started over....

Did i miss a update or something? :(
We have had a few warmer days just now Rock.
Is there any chance heat is the problem?

Like in "Sun shining on your case" or,
"Dust and cobwebs on yyour heat-sink"

Most times when you delete a work unit you'll just get the same one handed out over and over.

Yeah it sucks, been there, done that.....

Yep :P
At the top of the list on the stats-page you'll find some cheaters using more than 1 CPU.
Just click on the names on the stats-page to find out.

i also got my brother to join up as well

When you used your own name on that PC as well, you're a cheater too!

:o Anyone know whats happened?

My folding at home icon has disappeared out of the system tray...now I am not sure how to pause the work ....this happened before after running another program and it only returned after rebooting.....which I might add I do not want to do...yet. In the task manager it appears to be folding merrily away.... :)

Slinger,

Especially when you're folding Gromacs your CPU-temp can go up quite a bit.
For me this was a serious problem as I'm addicted to "silent computing" too, having a low airflow rig etc.

When you fold (and you should when you have your rig running anyway), keep an eye on those temps.

EDIT:

Motherboard Monitor is fine freeware to keep an eye on your CPU and HDs.
Regard the 65 degrees Celsius mark for your CPU as a border you shouldn't cross.

Han.
Thank you very much ! Will download and install the app.

Damn SS went down when we was talking about this...

Cheers:
