looks like something happened to one of lamseys machines too, look at how many WU's hes done, and he was getting no points for it basically.

It was just a thought.

What sort of crash is it? BSOD, reboot or just freeze?

I used to find that my system would just freeze when running F@H, until I raised Vcore. Other than that it was usually alright, except if it got fairly hot after about an hour of game playing, and then the same thing would happen. Cured that problem too.
Freeze in both F@H cases. It was frozen from when I left uni until I got home (I was checking the PC using VNC in uni)

I don't really want to up the Vcore, running 46 degrees c at full load at the moment (Athlon 2700+, aluminium HS), I might give it a try if I get more instability problems though, cheers :)

wow i did not our team would grow and still have people participating in this...

keep it up guys

im somewhat participating...

1. What is FAH?
FAH is a distributed computing project, the purpose of which is to learn how proteins fold and misfold. By breaking down the process by which proteins are created we can find out what causes them to miscreate or misfold. The hope is that this will lead to future research that can help scientists come up with better treatments/cures for many of todays common ailments. But the most important part of the project is putting together an effective model of how to fold and unfold proteins with supercomputer power.

We have had a few warmer days just now Rock.
Is there any chance heat is the problem?

Like in "Sun shining on your case" or,
"Dust and cobwebs on yyour heat-sink"

Most times when you delete a work unit you'll just get the same one handed out over and over.

Yeah it sucks, been there, done that.....
Close FD2, i found it out. Because of the heat i'm using CoolerXp and guess what?
They don't like each other. Stopped CoolerXp and Wham there it go's.

Spend 3 full days folding and no points were added. The bad thing is i did no work for the cause!

Oh well...

Thanks for the help guys

Rocky is Folding..

I can't believe how many inactive members there are.

But you've been inactive since: 11.13.05

...that's not strictly true, my girlfriend (Dutch)

3 Dutch 13372 129

has ambushed my two computers and is contributing to an other folding@home team..so when I , sometime in the near future, in the holst of the night, change the team number back to 34905 and pray she doesn't notice ..then I would still be contributing to the team with multi processors... it just seemed a good idea. In the end every work unit that gets folded, goes to wards the good cause. It's just more fun when everyone is playing on an even playing field :) The spirit of competition...thought it might encourage a few sports to see if their computers have got what it takes...

:)

i think the biggest ive had is a 2500, although i dont really notice must, just leave them folding.

also, looks at this, wtf?
