UK: Regarding a child contact issue being dealt with in the family courts?

The father did not turn up to the court and in his absence the mother and children were granted an indefinite restraining order against him as he is violent and is in prison. (He would not come out of his cell to accept the court summons papers to attend.)

I was wondering whether he would be told exactly what went on in the court. In particular, I was wondering what the notes that are transcibed by the court staff are used for. Will he be sent a copy of exactly what was said by the judge? She was clearly disgusted by his behaviour and I would like to know if this will be conveyed to him through the court transciption or just verbally by his barrister (if at all).

All answers will be appreciated.

Thanks.
