UK Premieres

I have a few questions about UK Premieres...y'know the glitzy, glamorous ones in Leicester Square!
-Generally/On average how long before the national release, does the premiere take place?
-Is there a way of finding out in advance what day the premiere will be?
-If say, the movie went on national release on Boxing day, would the premiere be a long way before Christmas, or a few says before? As my thinking was, would the stars want to fly over, say from the US to here, and be away from their families so near to Christmas?

If anyone knows anything about any of those i would be so grateful!! Thanks
