How do my American cousins over the pond feel ?

How do my European cousins over the water feel ?

Its a miss for me, I cant help feeling that after reading the problems and the threads regarding people returning handsets, its been a miss for alot of people.

On the flipside, if its been a hit for you, say your piece !

Big succes, read that the N95 and the LG prada were huge sellers, with the two trading places for the number one spot.

I even read that they expect the N95 to outsell the N73 in the first month.

"The LG Prada phone shot straight to the top of the Mobile sales charts, with the Nokia N95 hot on its heels in the number two spot.

However, the N95 is now Carphone's top seller. Sales were bolstered by the fact that 1,000 customers had put down pre-order deposits for the handset with the retailer. Andrew Connell, head of multimedia for Nokia UK, said Carphone had sold 'thousands and thousands and thousands' of N95s so far, although he would not offer a precise figure. Earlier this month, Connell said that Nokia was confident the N95 would outsell the N73, which sold 50,000 units in its first month."

Battery, GPS and UI lag are very disappointing. 5 mega pixel is no better than the N73's 3.2 mega pixel. Can't wait for the next phone to be released. This is not worth $800 imo.

Does anybody have anymore sales reports or anything like that with real numbers on it to justify a claim for flop or not? Most of the posts here are opinions, which are three times removed from any form of fact on whether or not it's selling well or not.

Someone who bought from an online retailer/importer has no idea how many that retailer sold, that retailer has no idea how well his source sold their supply in either Europe or Asia, and even that source, be it a shop or whatever, has no idea how well Nokia did unless we get more numbers here. Saying it's a flop for you because you didn't approve of the battery life or the camera has no bearing on the overall sales of the device.

CAN WE DEFINE BUST,im having a hard time understanding why the n95 is a bust, in simple terms, what other cellphone out there right now is capable of matching it period, can we say it might be a little to expensive maybe, can we say we over hyped it yes, can u give me a cellphone that is unlocked and unbranded that can do as much as the n95, camera, video, gaming, gps built in wifi ect.... that has all these things and yet cost $200 less, here are some prices of the latest windows pocket pcs http://www.mobileplanet.com/n.aspx?m=407&partner=mpadwords

if u look at the device and the price u have to pay, the n95 is definelty priced correctly at $749.00 us dollars, does it have issues yes, tell me a phone that dont, look at everyforum in here and give me a cell phone thats issue free, the iphone which looks nice is gonna be around 500-600 dollars all depends if u get 4gb or 8gb phone, but it is so limited in so many areas, it will be a great music device i think, also beautiful screen and display for webrowsing and pics and videos, but what if iphone last as long as n95, u cant even remove battery to put in a spare, the phone is locked, must be connected to itunes to download music and videos from what i hear, the htc tytn is 725.00 unlocked and it varies in terms of pricing, the device is heavy and huge next to the n95, doesnt have built in gps, to some might be a plus, cant take pictures or video nearly as good, has u.s. 3g but webbrowsing isnt half as nice, and u have to tweak and mess with phone just to get phine to work the way u want it. Im not knocking the other devices, just comparing them to the n95. and this is price of the prada http://welectronics.com/gsm/LG/LG-PRADA-KE850.html

Well said THETRUTH#34. I think Nokia have done an excellent job to design and market such a device. The pity is that it has been over hyped and I do think we all just expected a little to much. Ok in the USA folks are paying $750 to $800 dollars for this phone, say that is little money. Come to Moscow or Kiev where the retail price will be 1400.00 US dollars. Just the same the N95 has paved the way to the future. Use and enjoy!
