UK Elections? Do I need to register, to vote?

Do I definitely need to register on aboutmyvote.com (or .co.uk), because I have recieved a card that already has my information on it, and info about the vote (when and where), and my 'number on the register' is already there. But, I haven't actually registered on the site mentioned above. So, do I still need to register, if I've received one of these, or can I just go and take this card with me. On the card, it says I don't need to bring it, but it will speed up the proccess. I am 18, by the way. Thanks
