...you lose your faith and turn to? humanism/practicality, if you were falsely accused of rape and suffered several months of death threats to you and your family, broken windows, beatings, before you were finally cleared?

Why? Are people less likely to believe I am innocent if I'm a secular humanist?

No absolutely not. My faith has nothing to do with how humans treat me, christians are constantly alienated anyway.
There are already lots of things in this world to tempt us away from god, whether it be sex, drugs or drink....it would just be another problem in my book, I won't loose my faith

It's easier to lose one's faith than to suddenly gain one, I'd say.
