UK aviation passenger tax in the name of the environment?

another one of this governments stealth taxes, as none of the money will be used for anything other than Browns whims. Other counties have scrapped the tax entirely, while Brown the buffoon doubles it. He is now hell bent on destroying our aviation industry, in the same way he's destroyed everything he touches. When someone is drowning, do you throw them a concrete block?

Mark S, I totally agree, but that's socialism for you. In their world you do what they say, even if they are supposed to be there to do your bidding.
 
All of the "environmental" taxes are aimed squarely at the poor. Petrol taxes mean that the poorest people in society have to give up their family cars and walk to work in the rain. You won't see many wealthy people doing that.Now they are trying to deprive poorer people of cheap flights so they can't even afford to go on holiday. That's exactly the sort of legislation that you would expect from a Conservative government rather than Labour.
 
Aviation tax in the name of the environment is the same thing as Obama wanting to pass cap and trade legislation in the U.S. He wants to rush it through congress without giving people a chance to even read the huge bill. It's just part of the big scam created by Al Gore blaming global warming on man. Many scientists disagree with man made global warming, but Al Gore has never publicly debated any scientists whom are skeptical of man made global warming. It's just a big scam to scare people into accepting more government taxes.
