UK: advertised car on autotrader and had a company call me...advice?

they said if I pay £90 they'd sell my car for my asking price, then I'd get the money back when the car sells. They said they give finance to the buyer. Does anyone else know anything more about this?

Yeah had this happen to me, not sure its the same company didnt mention anything about finance...said that they had buyers for my car, told them that i wanted to get rid of the car quickly wanted 12k for it they was trying to get me to sell it to them in the end for 9k. Ended up telling them where to go and just waited till a genuine buyer came along.

It's a huge rip-off. I know of someone who went for a similar scam. It took them weeks to get their money. And that was only after they threatened legal action. Steer well clear of it.
