i gave him the sponge to rinse in some of the old tank water i had already took out, but instead he went into the kitchen and washed in hot water. i think this would have killed the beneficial bacteria? can some body confirm this/ tell me what this would have done? i havent completely thrown everything off balance have i? or what will this do to the tank? how will this affect my fishes?
