Recently i got a sinus infection which blew up the side of my face. It gave me a terrible breakout, with deep rooted painful pimples. It drove me crazy because i have a problem with picking my face but for the most part i kept my picking under control because i was in bed. I was on cypro antibiotics for 10 days. My skin is pretty damaged from the breakout, its been about a month since it happened. But now, it seems like im getting more and more of those deep rooted painful pimples. tea tree oil seems to help but more keep popping up. some of them are in the same spot the last ones were. What can i do to stop them ? they are very painful and ruining my face. Its making me really upset and i really need help im becoming depressed and i cant go out like this.
It really sucks please give me some advice no matter how small
thank you :)

I'm probably just telling you things you already know but I'll still try.

First of all, don't touch your face. no matter how hard just don't do it!

Secondly, navigate around the board and try one of the many options to help with your acne. I have a post that is right before yours of what worked for me.

Be very careful though, do not just keep trying new thing after new thing after new thing. Try something and give it a serious chance. Also, most importantly, do NOT overapply whatever you choose to try. Irritating your skin will only make things way worse.

I'm sorry your in a breakout, god knows I know what it's like. The bottom line no matter that you need to keep in mind is that there is no overnight solution. Your gonna have to wait this thing out and treat it and get better before life will be okay again. Just like they say when you get a bad haircut.. hey its only hair it will grow back. The same is true with acne, it sucks, but it's not permanent. Just thank god you don't have something that is and your normal face will shed away that acne and eventually grow back and this break out will be a distant faded memory.

Goodluck

Hello
I know its hard when you have a break out, I am 34 and was picking my face every day! it was a real problem but a few weeks ago I looked in the mirror and I thought I DO THIS TO MYSELF the more I mess with my face (even if its nothing big I turned it into a mess)

I have a board RETIRED PICKERS ...I was Happy to learn I am the only person with picking issues and it was good to talk about it!

I think thats nuraber one in helping acne! NO TOUCHING YOUR FACE!

now I dont know the magic answers there are so many products out there claiming to help Acne but theres no real CURE its always having to maintain a routine to keep zits at bay!

Skin doesnt like being too dry or too oily so its finding that balance which is a huge challenge...I use a gentle Cleanser CeraVe its is like Cetaphyl... I now use Proactiv but not every day it was too much for my skin . I am dryer as I am older so need moister :)
I think I have found a good balance but I swear the best thing is to not Pick!

it is very difficult you might have to change your routine like wash your face as soon as you get home and then dont go back in the mirror only to clean teeth! its challenging and my frienRAB didnt get why it was so hard to not PICK but unless you have been there its hard to explain how hard it is to not pick

try to leave your face alone and see what happens...and like Accutane Dude said its also no good swipping and swapping products I can say that doesnt help at all I was the queen of changing products but your skin takes time to get used to something

I hope your skin feels better, it can happen it has for me and I put it to not picking my face...even frienRAB have said it looks good! :) theres hope...

good Luck

glytone mild gel wash is excellent for preventing acne and it also helps to fade spots.
