Episode 1.11: "Hell for the Holidays"

A new episode airs tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

This was a good episode. Mark actually concocted a cunning plan. Who would have thought that he had it in him?

The demons on Ugly Americans are kind of like robots on Futurama in that they have their own little universe within the shows' universe, which doesn't bother me particularly, but I'd like for UA's writers to focus more on some of the other creatures on the show more than once in a while.

Also, if there are demons in this shows' universe, then where are the gods? Just curious.

Ha, I had wondered how Halloween (or Samhain, as it had been renamed here) would be treated in this show's universe. The holiday's even more watered down with political correctness than it is in real life, and the demons treat it like Thanksgiving.

One aspect of Ugly Americans that I find interesting is how the demons (the upper management ones, anyway) always seem to have these hidden agendas and magnanimous plans for humanity and society in general, whereas all the other creatures just live on Earth like everyone else. Just something I've noticed. And I've also wondered where the gods are in this universe since there are demons.

The subplot with Leonard trying to sell the possessed house was odd, but funny. It was interesting twist on the Amityville Horror formula: no one's ever thought to ask the house how it feels.

I noticed that too. I was wondering out of all of the creatures and monsters to appear in this show, where are the angels, fairies, unicorns, and other fairy tale like creatures?

That was a pretty cool episode. I was wondering how Mark was gonna get out of this one (with him looking like he got killed by Twayne).:anime:
