Comedy Central's newest animated series Ugly Americans airs tonight at 10:30 PM Eastern, right after an all new South Park. This week:

Are you ******* me? Everybody likes mustard!"

Great episode. This show is not as funny as most other animated shows on TV, but it has an original concept (rare these days) and likable original characters.

It's not laugh-out-loud funny, and they try to push the Wizard as the breakout character way too much, but it's not abysmal at all. The best I can say about it is that it's likable and at least has me chuckling and smiling throughout. Like Drawn Together, I'll definitely tune into this after South Park and won't complain. Probably grow very accustomed to it with time.

It looks to me like the writers are trying to push Randall (the zombie) and especially Callie and the other demon folk to be the breakout characters on the show; so far 2 out of the 3 stories were Callie/demon plots. (I'm still not sure whether I like Callie or not; I get that she's a demon and you're not really supposed to like her per se, but I'm not certain how I'm supposed to feel about her as a character. She has yet to display any signs of humanity--or is it demonity?--that would make me want to route for her).

But yeah, the show's not great, but it's OK. I think Ugly Americans' premise is more original than the jokes and stories, but I can sit through it for half an hour and not complain.
