:ugh: My Wii just froze after exiting the Mii Channel.

Faded to a black screen.

I couldn't reset.

I couldn't switch off from the console or controller.

I just pulled all the plugs out.

Maybe I shouldn't be leaving on the WiConnect 24 hours a day.

I'm about to plug everything back in and restart. Has this happened to anyone else?
 
Whew. Yes.

I don't know if it was from the WiiConnect and Slot Illumination being on for almost 24 hours straight. Meh. I'm shutting them both down for now, I'll feel much better with a red light instead of the green one while I sleep.

Has this happened to you before?
 
Yeah my Wii froze once after exiting Mii channel. Though i dont think it's a problem. You know you can turn your wii off with your controller and it'll be a yellow light. Which is it's standby mood and you don't need to turn it all the way off, red light.
 
Yeah I know about the WiiMote's power button but this was different. I couldn't reset the console, turn off the power, but the eject seemed to work.
 
this has happened to me also, i have notified nintendo about this problem..

when i was in the mii channel and i tried to go back to the wii menu, my screen went to black and never went to the menu, i couldn't even turn it off through the wii mote.. i had to physically get up and hold in the power button for it to turn red. :argh:
 
The Mii channel semi-froze on me. But, I hit the power button on the remote and the system turned right off and I could start it right back up. It hasn't happened since.
 
Yeah it happened to me once. Also had the controller not connect until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Kinda shitty that Nintendo has defects when they're not using bleeding edge technology like the PS3
 
it happened to me agian tonight.. i sent another email to them, i haven't heard anything from them from the 1st email i sent last night the 21st... i'll have to call them tomorrow if they are open. i'll demand a new system...
