Ugh I'm getting the iPhone itch...

I think it matters, considering Apple can charge as much as they want and if you are using the iPhone daily I wouldn't be surprised if you needed a replacement in 6-12 months

"Let's look at some hard numbers. I started my research with top-of-the-line notebooks -- I spent an hour on Dell's site trying to find the cheapest notebook that offered everything Apple's $2,799 MacBook Pro 17 provides. That includes:"

lol, so he prices it up by making all the small additions to make it "comparable" to the MacBook

yet he doesn't compare the cheapest one or cheaper ones

jackass

its pricey, but think of what you get. $300 ipod that the newest/"coolest" available, $200 pda phone with OSX and html browser. you only have to carry one thing, dual batteries so if you run the media stuff down you can still place calls.

motherfuckers who laugh at the lack of the 3g on the iphone fail miserably to realize all the great intuitive GUI features of the phone.

like it or not apple will force phone companies to think out better OS interfaces.

nothing beats the simplicity of that iphone interface

atleast you have good first hand info

PC's aren't cheeper if you spec them the same, the fact you can buy a cheeper PC overall is irrelevant

" AT&T routinely tests new devices, but the iPhone has been different, Thandu says. The technicians have logged more than 10,000 hours on the phone, including more than 5,000 hours of voice calls and near 5 gigabytes of data usage. Most phones, he says, get about half that much test time."
