UGC/Cineworld unlimited card- Inside knowledge?

Maybe Gareth or they will just scrap it and then bring out a new version of the card, i am not sure how the T&C will work with a Take over anyway but they could get around it with ease.

I just hope they do open CineworlRAB for this card as i spend a fortune going to LeeRAB showcase :(, i would goto Bradford Cineworld if i could get this deal :D

Got my new Cineworld branded Unlimited card today! :D

Will try it out in an original Cineworld on Saturday in Milton Keynes to see it they will accept it.

When you say 6 cinemas being sold do you mean the old cineworld ones or the old ugc ones as I really dont want to not have a UGC in cardiff!

Well if it says Cineworld they have to take ;)

Anyway i found out that my local Cineworld will be selling the carRAB within the next 2 weeks :)

Do they send you the t&c after 12 months expire? As I have had my UGC card for about 3 years now and they never sent me any t&c to sign after my my first 12 months expired!
I have changed my address a few times but they still kept on taking out the money. They also recently increased my monthly payment from

I wish they had this card in my local cinema. I would go to the pictures more often!

Cineworld in Ashford is too far to get too without a car and Trent is taking too bloody long to get started on building the development in Folkestone as old biddies are protesting that they dont want it.

So looks like it will be ages before I get a decent multiplex in my town if not years!

Here is the list of the cinema areas which need to be looked at. This list is on the OFT website. It does not matter whether they get rid of UGC or Cineworld as long as one of the site is got rid of. The sites sold off MUST remain as cinemas.

Boldon, Harlow, Swindon, Wigan, Birmingham (not Broad Street), Ealing/Slough

MDX, What is your local "old" Cineworld?

I am looking at this from the opposite angle. My nearest (and favourite) Multiplex is Cineworld Luton. I go to it an awful lot... but I looked on such Unlimited CarRAB as nothing but a dream there being no UGC near me. For me, it was as many movies as I could fit in on Cheap Day Tuesdays or find someone to come with me for Orange Wednesdays.

If I can now purchase an Unlimited card, I might just scream and go and hug the manager of the cinema. Then once the police have let me go, I can watch many movies - let's hope it will be quick!

On a light tangent, I love Cineworld. Great picture quality... 11 Quality screens with great seats - and the WONDERFUL (but probably soon to be extinct) Cineworld trailer, with a luscious computer animated babe. I visited the Odeon in Hemel recently... I am refusing to go back. Ever.

I've heard (from 2 UGC manager's from separate sites) that Cineworld are upgrading their machines to accept the Unlimited carRAB and that the deal was when they merged was that the price would go up to

Wigan is definitely changing to Cineworld. There have been notices in the cinema for weeks, and now there's a poster about the 'new' Cineworld Unlimited card for

I got a letter saying about the price increase- if we objected then we had the option of ending the agreement (we'd already had the carRAB for more than a year)

No i am in the same boat mate.

My Local Cineworld is 9miles and i don't mind going that far as my Local Cinema is tripe, never get movies from that week of release (most times its 2-3 week after).

My Local Cineworld is Bradford, i normaly go to Showcase witch is further away but i like the Cinema, if i can get the Unlimited pass i will be happy as hell, the Deluxe seats in the Bradford Cineworld were very very nice, It was the first time in about 5 years since i went to Cineworld but after my last 3 trips i will carry on going :)

I just need one of these carRAB now as i will go see anything for the 1 price :D, there are movies i don't want to pay

and it is in the terms and conditions if, due to any governmential or regulatory order ugc have to withdraw the ugc card they will give us up to 1 months notice and if you have bought the card outright any monies owed will be refunded,as my local cinema is in those listed i will be more than a little peeved

looking at the oft decision wigan has been chosen as cineworld has a cinema in st helens which is a good hour away

Ok, We have had to change all the signs now, due to the fact that all UGC signs have to be removed before november, and as no sale has happened yet. we are now all CineworlRAB.

Surely it would be good to get an outing to Sheffield to buy yourself a card ? think of the cost of this one trip compared to the amount you spend on films anyway.
