I'm 18, a girl, and i've been loosing my hair for over 2 yrs. It's really sad cuz i have to be careful about how i wear my hair. The only reason I'm puttin this up is cuz it's really buggin me lately. I can't get in to see anyone about it cuz the my mom refuses to take me to the place we were refurred to cuz she thinks the docs. there are incompitent. I have like hair pieces and stuff that i wear sometimes, but I wish I could just have MY hair. My hair actually rocks. It's healthy and shinny and a gorgeous color. I just don't have much of it. It's embarrassing and frustrating. If anyone knows any ways to stop/reverse this I'd be grateful if u passed it along. Otherwise I'll just have to invest in some really really cute hats.

With no offense intended, you are 18 now, if you want to go to the doctors but your mother thinks the docs are imcompetent, tell her exactly what you told us. Tell her you're sick of wearing "other" hair and want to get the problem sorted out. SPEAK UP!

Agreed... but really that is becomming a more and more common problem with women as with many men. I think its something that they put in our food.. But good luck with it..

Holy shit. You're losing your hair, and yet so young? That is really sad, I don't know if there are any kind of reversal treatments for that sort of thing. I guess you really are wilting (sorry I'm terrible). This catches my eye more than most. I'm kind of a hair coniseur (sp?). Like I said before, I like it when girls have long, loooong hair, so this is really a shame.

haha. I am not wilting. If u wanna see my hair check out my profile. The way I wear it nobody can really tell. At least I hope not. :S But anyway, my family doctor refured me, and I have been telling my mom all that i've told u guys and she rolls her eyes at me and says deal with it. She's one of those ppl who will lay there sick as a dog for 3 weeks straight cuz "it might go away" or "as soon as we go to the doctor it will clear up on it's own" or "if we go in he'll just say it's nothing." So i'd have to go around her to do it and i'm not sure i want to go there right now.

I'm 27. I got my degree in accounting, spent a few years in the field, then I learned Japanese, moved to Japan, and I'm continuing my education now.

Nice. I hate math, but if u can do it all the power to ya. Good luck with ur schooling and all.

*anouncer voice* We now return u to ur regularly scheduled thread.
