i want to high school in the US, i'm aware that sports are very much like a fight in the US, very competitive.

in general, NHL, NFL are very aggressive

to me it seemed as if they were in condition enough to play a running game. the Czech were beating them to the ball 90% of the time. They were intercepting passes from the US because the US would wait for the ball instead of running to it.

serbia have one of the best defensive records in qualifiying
and ivory coast are africas best team

its much easier for ghana to qualify to next round then it is for ivory coast
 
i definitely see it being hard to enthuse the american public for a sport they're not #1 in, but sooner later it will happen, especially with the latinos being such a huge market in the US and asians in general getting more interested in soccer the better they get

for the most part, yelling and screaming is how you get americans to do things

but really though, when i played in high school we only sucked 1 of the years because the new coach we had was extremely passive and looked at the bright side of everything. if we lost a game, he wouldnt make us run or do sprints, he would say we put in a good effort. bah, if you're not being punished for losing, whats the motivation to bust your ass for the next game. if you are constantly looking at the brighter side of things in sports, youre going to get rolled.
 
A draw against italy and a win against ghana will mean that italy needs to be shut out by the czech for more than 3 goals (barring a tie in points between us and italy)
