at first i thought fining BP or putting an investigation was shit that should be talked about after they clean up this shit, but after the CEO saying leave me alone, i want my life back. now i hope the government fucks them up

they could have at least helped fix the situation before it got out of hand and then turn around and sue BP for expenses.

The fact of the matter is they under-estimated the damage this was going to cause till now and now they are like " well hold on, shits about to hit the fan, let's put criminal charges on BP "

Huge lawsuit. They'll contest/appeal the decision for the next 20 yrs and they'll make enough interest on their bankroll to pay a billion dollar penalty..

As it was for the Exxon Valdez

Criminal charges? For what? There was an accident and something happened that has never happened before and people aren't sure what to do. The things they thought would work didn't because, well, it's never happened before!

This is just the government trying to make it seem like they are actually doing something, when of course, they really aren't.

lol I don't have the slightest idea as to how this problem can be realistically solved...but the smart people in the world should have solved it yesterday!

you really have the stupidest blend of political views on all of OT

like even dumber than the plain old democrat trolls

This is actually very fucking retarded for the administration to do right now.

Everything should be focused on stopping the flow and THEN you do the investigation. Doing it right now puts more pressure on other areas for the companies involved to worry about.

"hey, instead of putting all our resources towards stopping the leak, we need to start setting up to defend ourselves!"
