TX Wifi CONNECTION

my recently purchased TX will not connect to the web, whatever I do. my home network router is set up to automatically provide an IP address, but I have tried setting it up manually as well. neither method works.
have contacted Palm who have suggested a number of remedies, including a full reset, none of which has solved the problem. what am I doing wrong? can anyone help?

What happens when you go to Prefs-Network-WiFi and hit Connect? If it connects, try going Menu-Options-View Log - is the TX getting the right DNS address?

thanx for your responses. at present, whenever I hit connect, the TX identifies my router, tries to connect and fails. am not sure how to go to 'Prefs-Network-Connect', I just hit 'Web' and the TX identifies my router and tries to connect and always fails. I have turned Security off in an attempt to facilitate connection, but no success.

if I hit the WiFi icon, the only 'Prefs' button I have relates to power saving. is there another 'Prefs' button that you are referring to?

I have followed both suggestions as far as I can and the DNS server data is the same as appears on my router manufacturer's data screen on my home computer.
if you have any other thoughts, I'm happy to try. Palm seem at a loss.

I meant the PalmOS Prefs app in the main apps list - one of the options in it is Network.

Hm, if you already turned off security on the router, then one other possibility that springs to mind is whether the router actually supports 802.11b - the TX is 11b only, but your router is probably 11b/g, and if it's like mine, can be set to be 11g only.
