Is there any way to return to the page that was last viewed when the Palm was turned off or powered off? It drives me crazy that I have to go thru a process to get back to where I was. I've tried set up and reading, but Im lost in this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance

Normally if you hit the power button to turn the device on - not touching any of the 4 PIM buttons - it will take you to where you left off.
 
I have had a Palm since Palm IIIx, took a break with a Clie for a bit (battery life was horrible) and back to Palm. You'd think I would have figured this out, and so simple. Thanks Moose Man, I kept experimenting and it appears that if I hit the middle button, the clock comes up, and if Im really quick I can say ok and go right back to where I left off. Using the power button kinda scares me, since Ive been reading that the power button doesnt have too much of a life. Appreciate the response, it did indeed work!

There may be another method besides the power button but I've never found it.

Don't forget if you tap and hold on the "home button" then it will give you a pop up of the most recent used apps - this will or may save you from too much navigation from where you want to go?
 
I'm curious as to why the life of the power button seems so limited? I've had my TX for a couple of months now and I too am beginning to worry about it's service life.
 
I have had the TX apart and its power button switch is considerably sturdier than that of the TE which did have a poorly mounted switch. The problem it has is the plastic button (that which you press) does not line up well with the switch plunger. This and the fact that it is too short to reach the plunger without depressing it hard.

I put a small dab of JB-Weld epoxy on the part of the plastic button that contacts the switch and that solved that issue. My button works very well. Also, a single drop of WD40 applied to the switch (not the button that your finger presses) allows for a better electrical contact. I did this to my button and switch when it was fairly new and it is still working perfectly after over a years worth of dailey use.

It is too bad that Palm didn't get it right from the factory but it is a very solvable issue.
